How can i make $50 an hour?
Making $10/hour is easy, but making $50/hour requires that you bring value to people.
You can earn $10/hour by doing unskilled labor at a minimum-wage job. The problem with earning just $10/hour is that you are limited by the number of hours you can work.
On the other hand, if you can provide value that is worth $50 an hour, then you can make a lot more per hour than someone who earns just $10 an hour.
You need to ask yourself how you will provide the value that is worth $50 per hour.
So how can I make $50 an hour? That’s the question you were asking.
One of the easiest ways to make fifty bucks an hour is by working online. You could put a little effort in and really start making that extra income for yourself.
What are your skills?
To make money outside of your full-time job, you need to know what you’re good at.
- First, make a list of all the skills you have, in no particular order. Don’t think about it too hard just write down everything that comes to mind.
- A skill is a specific ability you have to perform a task or activity. This can be anything from brushing your teeth to playing the violin.
- Skills can be split into two categories: soft and hard skills. Soft skills are personal attributes that enable someone to interact effectively and harmoniously with other people. Hard skills are abilities related to a specific activity or task, such as working with tools or computers.
- Think over the list you made in the introduction, and divide your skills into these two categories: soft and hard skills.
Now that you’ve figured out what soft and hard skills you have, it’s time to figure out which ones would be most profitable if you turned them into service, consulting roles, or coaching roles.
You’ll want to make sure your skills are competitive, as well as make sure you have the right tools for the job. That might mean investing in software, hardware, or services.
You might also choose to invest your time in learning new skills or becoming more efficient at those you already have.
It’s important not to undervalue yourself or your services since undercharging will only lead to burnout in the long run. You need to find a balance between charging enough while being competitive with similar service providers.
Freelancing and consulting are two high-paying options that can net you $50 an hour or more, but they require a lot of hard work to get started.
What is your zone of genius?
The zone of genius is the area where you feel most at home. It’s the thing you do better than anyone else, and the thing you get lost in when you’re just doing it for fun. This isn’t about defining “better than everyone else,” but about finding the things that come naturally to you.
Why should I get in touch with my zones of genius?
When you’re spending your time doing things that come naturally to you, you’ll be happier, more productive, and more fulfilled.
Think back to times in your life when you felt this way—we’re sure it was when you were working on something that came easily. What was it? How did it feel? What are some ways to figure out what my zone of genius is?
You can start by asking yourself: what is it that I’m always being asked to do by friends or family members?
- Is there one thing that shows up again and again? If so, that’s your zone of genius!
- What if I have too many, or only have one thing I’m good at?
The key here is not to focus on what defines a zone of genius, but instead on what feels like your zone of genius. Trust yourself.
Think outside of the box.
Maybe you’re great at finding natural remedies. Then search for the top diseases that people are really worried about and create a service tailored for them.
Maybe you’re very muscular, then maybe you can train people.
Maybe you’re very good at connecting with people. Then maybe you can find customers for big companies.
Create your offer?
Now that you have your superpower, it’s time to think about how you’re going to sell it for 50$ or more.
But how? The key is to narrow down your target customer.
If you are talking to everyone, you are talking to no one.
So think about who this superpower would be useful for and find out where they hang out online, then go there and start asking questions. Search on Facebook groups and forums. What’re they struggling with? What’s hard for them? What do they wish they could do but don’t know how?
Once you know, create your offer and use these words: ‘I solve X for Y without Z.’ So if we were selling our superpower, it might be something like: ‘I solve the problem of not having enough time in the day for Y (stay-at-home moms) without Z (having to hire a full-time nanny).’
Customize your product, and your customers will think it’s tailor-made for them.
The more a customer feels like you’re giving them exactly what they need, the more likely they are to go for it. Instead of thinking about what you want to sell, put yourself in the customer’s shoes and think about what they want to buy.
Test first
Now that you’ve decided how you want to make money, it’s time to start making it!
Many people think the first thing they need to do is build a website, run ads, and follow an online course about entrepreneurship. This is not true—and it will take you out of the game before you’ve even started playing.
All you need to do right now is test your offer: is it valuable? Is there a demand for it in the market? How much should you charge? You can ask yourself these questions, but better yet—ask your customers.
The best way to do this is by posting your offer on all your social media platforms and seeing what the response is. If no one responds, or if the responses are all negative, don’t lose heart! Just ask people how you could improve what you’re offering so that it fits their needs better.
